A complete (whole-home) renovation updates most or all of the living spaces in your home at once - typically kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, lighting, layout and finishes, and often structural changes, basements, suites or additions. Planning it as one project lets us coordinate design, permits and trades efficiently, which usually saves time and money compared with renovating room by room.

Timelines depend on the size of your home, the scope of work, structural changes and municipal permit times. After your consultation we provide a written schedule that covers design, permitting and construction, and we update you as the project progresses.

Cost depends on square footage, layout changes, structural work, finish selections and the condition of existing systems such as plumbing and electrical. We provide a detailed line-item estimate so you can see exactly where your budget goes and make informed choices before work begins.

Most renovations that involve structural changes, plumbing, electrical, new openings, suites or additions require a building permit from your municipality, and strata buildings usually need written approval as well. PrimeWork coordinates the permit and inspection process for you so the work meets the BC Building Code and local bylaws.

Often, yes. Depending on the scope, we can phase the work, seal off construction zones and keep a kitchen or bathroom usable for as long as possible. For larger whole-home projects we will discuss whether a short move-out makes the project faster and safer for your family.

Yes. We work within strata bylaws - submitting renovation requests, booking elevators, protecting common areas, working within approved hours and managing noise and debris so your neighbours and council stay on side.

A renovation restores or updates an existing space - new finishes, fixtures and systems within the same layout. A remodel changes the structure or function of a space, such as removing walls, reconfiguring a kitchen or converting a basement into a suite. Most whole-home projects include both, and PrimeWork handles each from start to finish.
